What Is The Meaning Of Canada-Ukraine Approval For Emergency Travel (CUAET)?

The Canada-Ukraine Authorization Emergency Travel permits you to move to Canada and remain for three years.

How To Make An Application

  • Applying for the Canada-Ukraine Approval Emergency Travel is a straightforward process you can complete online, free of charge. You don’t need to visit a Canadian consulate or VAC, making it convenient.
  • If you find the application process challenging, don’t worry. You can seek help from a relative or hire an approved representative, such as an Immigration consultant, attorney, or Quebec notary, to assist you. You’re not alone in this journey.
  1. In your online request form:
  • If you desire to be employed in Canada, your response should be “yes” when queried if you want to apply for an open work permit.
  • Type in your present address, even if it is short-term. Only type in your Ukrainian address if you still reside in Ukraine.

To make an application for kids below the age of 18, you are required to present:

  • A copy of every child’s birth certificate with their request (if feasible).
  • An authorization letter from the parent who is not moving with the child or proof that you possess complete possession of the child (if relevant) is required.

After Making An Application

As part of the application process, you may be asked to provide your biometrics, which include your fingerprints and a passport photo. This information is used to verify your identity and ensure the security of your travel documents.

  • If you are requested to do so, you will get a biometric direction letter through an email after applying.
  • The email will consist of directions on how to schedule an appointment.
  • You must get a biometric direction letter to be required to offer your biometrics, and your application will continue to be processed.

When Your Application Is Endorsed

After your application has been approved, you will be forwarded a decision letter with directions on the next moves. You will get a direction on:

  • Present your passport to the nearest visa application center so that they can attach a physical visa counterfoil to it.
  • You can begin your trip to Canada by being forwarded a letter indicating that you are eligible for a foil-less visa and do not need to present your passport.
  • What can you do if you need an authentic passport?

If you have presented your passport to a VAC, they will contact you when your passport is ready so you can pick it up. Please note that you are allowed to visit the Visa Application Center once they contact you.
