Below is what you will receive as a Blue Book intern:
- Per month grant of about $1,588.38
- Payment of visa expenses and medical charges (where relevant).
- Travel stipends to and from the training location.
A one-lifetime experience operating on real European Union projects in directorates-general, agencies, and administrative entities, such as drafting policy papers, conducting research, or assisting in the implementation of EU initiatives.

Who Can Apply
The internship is available to:
- All EU nationals
- A restricted number of non-EU citizens (global candidates are highly motivated to make an application).
Qualification Measures
To make an application, you are required to:
- Have a minimum of university-level certificates of at least 36 months (equivalent to a bachelor’s program) by the request deadline.
- Have no initial job skill of more than six weeks in any EU academic institution or entity, which includes universities, research institutions, and other educational or administrative bodies within the European Union.
- Has outstanding language experience, which includes:
- A minimum of C1/C2 level in English, French, or German.
- A second EU official language for EU citizens.
Application Duration For March 2026 Session
The request portal for the Blue Book Internship Programme March 2026 session will be available on 15th July 2025 (10:00 a.m. Brussels time) and will close on 29th August 2025 (10:00 a.m.). (Brussels time).
Interested candidates are expected to submit their requests on time, as late submissions will not be approved, and competition is high.
