The Taiwan Employment Gold Card is part of the Act for the Recruitment and Employment of Foreign Professional Talent, executed in October 2017. It is part of a more extensive administrative program to attract highly experienced international talent to Taiwan.
Introduced in 2018, the Taiwan Employment Gold Card is a four-in-one card that comprises a resident visa, employment permit, Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), and re-entry permit. It allows you to exit and re-enter Taiwan several times throughout 12 to 36 months. The best part? You can apply for it online without needing any support.

- Alien resident certificate: A physical Identity Card ascertaining that you can settle in Taiwan lawfully.

Your eligibility depends on an evaluation of your occupational experiences. You do not need to have already acquired employment in Taiwan. The Gold Card is charged between $100 and $310, depending on your country and the period of the card.
