TWAS-CSIR Postdoctoral Fellowships are obtainable in CSIR study laboratories and institutions in India for at least six months to a maximum of one year. Study may be performed in any of the following areas:

- Astronomy, space and earth sciences

Expenses
- CSIR is committed to supporting successful candidates throughout their postdoctoral journey. This includes a monthly stipend for living expenses, health, and food insurance. The stipend is non-convertible but ensures a comfortable stay. Additionally, scholarship recipients are eligible for subsidized housing, further easing their financial burden.
Qualification
- Be a highest of 45 years on December 31st of the request year.
- Be citizens of an advancing nation
- Handle a PhD program in an area of science or technology
- Holding any visa for short-term or permanent residency in India or any advanced nation is not required.
- Be frequently hired in an advancing nation and handle research projects.
- Be approved at a CSIR laboratory or university and offer a formal letter of acceptance from the host university.
Note: Applications for approval must be directed to the selected CSIR host university, with a duplicate to the CSIR contact individual. This will enable the CSIR to check applications and, if relevant, provide assistance in discovering beneficial host universities.
